Prior to joining Benchmark International, Jack worked on the corporate finance team of an international bank based in London. Specifically, his role involved raising finance for and advising on cross-border M&A transactions with typical deal value in excess of $100 million. He wanted to join an independent firm that had its own individual approach and structure, but also had a global presence, leading him to move to Benchmark International. Understanding different viewpoints is an important part of his role and for successful transactions. He enjoys working with clients to prepare forecasts or financial models as required throughout the process and takes pride in delivering results that exceed our clients’ expectations.

Mr. Redwood is a Transaction Leader, therefore is responsible for assisting clients on a daily basis throughout the transaction process, dealing with anything from running buyer/client meetings to analysing offers and handling deal negotiations. His focus is to take on the process-related work for our clients and to make the journey go as smooth as possible for them. He makes contact with potential acquirers to have detailed discussions about our on-market opportunities. He only puts the best potential acquirers in front of clients, and analyses all offers received in order to negotiate the best deal imaginable. He always tries to go the extra mile to add value wherever possible for the client, whether through creating a competitive bidding environment, finding and sourcing the best quality of buyers, or handling tricky buyer negotiations. He is motivated to deliver fantastic results that positively impact people’s lives.

Success

Jack would attribute his main success at Benchmark International to a fantastic cross-border deal that gave the client exactly what he wanted and more in terms of value, deal structure and future involvement.
