Steve grew up in a small town in North Mississippi. His father was a business owner, which helped him develop a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial drive from a young age through college. In his role at Benchmark International, Steve works to help align business owners’ personal and professional goals and aspirations with ours to deliver a focused M&A process with global reach. He helps our clients understand and maximize the tools and resources delivered in the process which are typically only available to larger organizations. As sell-side M&A advisors, we are 100% focused on maximizing and delivering business owners’ desired outcomes for their companies, employees, families, and legacies. experience

Prior to joining our team, Steve worked in several different roles related to optimizing portfolio company outcomes for private equity. His entire career has been focused around helping businesses improve processes and utilize technology to optimize business outcomes. The last several years, he was part of the ecosystem used by the largest private equity firms in the world to improve the results of their M&A processes, both pre- and post-acquisition. Through this experience, he got to see firsthand the amount of resources applied to ensure success of their investments. He also gained insight into the lack of resources and global market intelligence that many companies bring into what is likely a once-in-a-lifetime liquidation event.
