Benchmark International Has Successfully Facilitated the Transaction Between Plus Skills Development Ltd and Acis Group Ltd

Plus Skills Development Ltd, known locally as Skills Centre PLUS, is a specialist education provider offering vocational skills training to young people with additional needs or disabilities. Operating across three centres in Scunthorpe, the organisation delivers courses in vehicle maintenance, joinery, and hair and beauty therapy. Over the past 11 years, Skills Centre PLUS has earned national recognition, including twice winning the Tycoon Innovative Business Award from the Peter Jones Foundation, a testament to its nurturing, entrepreneurial approach.

Acis Group is a not-for-profit organisation that provides housing, skills, and support services to individuals and communities across the East Midlands and beyond. With an established presence in North Lincolnshire, Acis has long been committed to helping people improve their circumstances and build brighter futures through inclusive, community-based support.

The acquisition represents a strategic opportunity for Acis Group to expand its education provision. Bringing Skills Centre PLUS into the group strengthens Acis’ offering in youth development and specialist education, aligning with its mission to be there for people when they need it most. For the founders of Skills Centre PLUS, the transaction marks a smooth succession, providing immediate retirement while securing a trusted long-term home for their team and students.
