We are seeking a driven, motivated M&A professional, that has the competency and interest to negotiate and conclude M&A deals. Candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds including sales, accounting, banking, finance, commerce or even family-owned business. Key to the role is having a strong understanding of how to negotiate and conclude sell-side transactions, with the ability to manage a portfolio and a team of M&A staff.

The role is client-facing, involving communication with business owners who are selling their companies. The candidate must be highly driven and have the ability to work well under pressure. You will be provided with all the necessary support by an experienced team who will guide and assist you on a day-to-day basis, but expect a certain level of autonomy in moving and concluding transactions from inception through to due diligence and completion.

As the main point of contact with our clients – both in person and via virtual meetings, email, and telephone – a confident, presentable and professional manner is an essential attribute for any candidate. We are interested in attracting deal-doers that can manage client and buyer expectations and negotiations, and that have the drive and passion for closing deals even in the face of adversity.

Experience in M&A deals necessary with business and finance knowledge beneficial and desirable.

Key competencies:

  • Understanding and experience of doing M&A transactions for SME clients desirable.
  • Understanding commercial terms together with interpretation of financial data to negotiate maximum value.
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in a related business area.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills in Swedish and English.
  • Good numeracy skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial information.
  • Good negotiation skills, emotional intelligence and being able to deal with difficult situations, personalities and ambiguity.
  • Computer literate; experience of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel essential.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of clients as well as manage and motivate team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and handle deals at different stages, with good project management skills and the flexibility to change priorities to drive transactions to completion.
  • Full driving licence is preferable, though travel is not regular.
