An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our established organisation and become an integral member of our Transactions Team.

We are seeking a driven, motivated business professional, based in Cape Town, to become part of our growing teams in South Africa.


The role:

As a Research Analyst, you are responsible for identifying and evaluating potential buyers for client companies through detailed market and industry research. You compile and structure comprehensive “long lists” using databases and independent research, while ensuring all information is presented clearly and systematically. You also maintain and update internal databases with relevant and accurate data to support ongoing transactions.

Duties will include:

  • Analysis and identification of potential buyers for our client companies.
  • Preparation of “long lists” using databases and independent research.
  • Conducting research across various markets and industries.
  • Structuring and preparing information in a clear and organized manner.
  • Updating internal databases with relevant information.

Your profile:

We are seeking both experienced professionals and individuals at the start of their careers who have a strong interest in research, a curiosity about businesses and markets, and the ability to analyse and present information in a clear, structured, and insightful manner.

For experienced candidates, we expect:

  • Numerical insight and solid commercial understanding.
  • Excellent command of MS Office (especially Word and Excel).
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • A professional, confident communication style (both written and verbal).

We provide full training in all aspects of the role, so previous experience is not required.


For all candidates, we expect:
