Research and Outreach Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our established organisation and become an integral member of our Transactions Team.

We are seeking a driven and motivated individual to join Benchmark International as a Research and Outreach Analyst, based in Madrid. This role forms part of our efficient, well-organised, and professional support services team and offers genuine progression opportunities for the right candidate.

Role Overview

The Research and Outreach Analyst role involves identifying suitable potential acquirers for companies through comprehensive market research, using a wide range of mergers and acquisitions data sources. The successful candidate will work closely with members of the Corporate Finance team to define search parameters and to review, analyse, and discuss research outputs.

Previous industry experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. However, experience in a research-related role or education in a relevant field would be beneficial. An interest in business and/or finance, along with a good level of commercial awareness, is highly desirable.

Key Competencies (Research and Outreach)

• Ability to collect and analyse information, solve problems, and make sound decisions.
• Highly computer literate; experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and potential buyers or investors.
• Strong numeracy skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial information.
• Excellent telephone manner and strong relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
• Ability to work well under pressure and multitask, managing several projects simultaneously.
• Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
