Benchmark International is pleased to announce that Foresight Group, a leading private equity and infrastructure investment manager, has made a significant strategic investment in Montpellier Legal Limited.

Headquartered in Cheltenham, Montpellier Legal is a tech-enabled, B-Corp certified conveyancing law firm that has experienced rapid growth since its launch in 2021. Combining deep legal expertise with cutting-edge technology, the firm delivers efficient, customer-focused service to clients across its expanding network of offices, which includes locations in Bath, Cheltenham, Cirencester, Gloucester, London, Stroud, and Worcester.

Foresight Group’s investment supports Montpellier Legal’s continued expansion throughout Southwest England. With plans to open further offices, the firm will create new employment opportunities and expand its impact in local communities. The business will remain under the leadership of its experienced senior team: CEO Simon Thomas, Chief Risk and Operations Officer Lucy Batten, and Chief Operating Officer Nick Ponting. To support the next stage of growth, Tom Hartley has joined the business as Non-Executive Chair, bringing a wealth of experience in scaling professional services firms.

The transaction was completed through the Foresight South West Fund, which is dedicated to supporting businesses across the region by providing flexible capital and strategic support to help ambitious companies reach their full potential.
