Mr. Decker grew up in Central Illinois, where he attended Illinois State University for his undergraduate degree and Trevecca Nazarene University for his MBA. His background as a teacher, sales representative, retail operations analyst, senior operations budget analyst, senior financial analyst, and consultant has given him an excellent foundation to be able to interact with business owners and tell the story of their company from start to finish in the sale of their business.

Bret’s role as a Transaction Support Associate is constructing the marketing material or the Benchmark International termed Informational Memorandum. He helps tell the story of the business to potential buyers with the goal of representing our clients and serving the buyers needs as well. He spent years six years in CPG sales roles, 11 years in operational and financial analytical roles, and a year doing consulting work on various projects.
He was drawn to joining Benchmark International to be part of the great blend of sales at our core that is balanced with the need for analytical abilities to work with business owners and tell their story. He finds great satisfaction every time a company completes our Benchmark International process and the customer approves the Information Memorandum and is ready to go to market.
