About

Ms. Robinson grew up in the small county of Rutland, before moving to Oxfordshire at the age of 10.  Paloma’s parents were self-made entrepreneurs and were very driven, building an IT business from scratch and later floating it on the stock market. Seeing their success has motivated Paloma to work hard across a large range of industries, including niche businesses, over the last ten years. As such it comes naturally for Paloma to understand and absorb businesses quickly.

At Benchmark International, Paloma is a Senior Researcher and Outreach Executive, and she finds suitable buyers for the companies we sell. This requires ‘dual’ type skills, having an analytical side, but also having a sell mentality, to be persuasive and persistent in contacting the ideal acquirers.

Passion

Paloma is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals and thrives when all departments have worked in sync to make a deal happen. Selling a business is not an easy task, so being a part of making that happen is Paloma’s ultimate goal. The M&A process is generally quite unique and it’s a process that requires patience and resilience – it’s really important that we guide each client, with each department contributing to this journey.

EXPERIENCE

Paloma has a wealth of experience from a varied career including events & marketing, recruitment, and in a right-hand role to an Operations & Marketing Director. These roles have been in the financial services industry, often servicing high net worth individuals, where communication and providing an excellent service were key – something that she uses to this day at Benchmark international.

Paloma enjoyed working in financial services, however, as the general industry can be quite restricted and regimented, Paloma decided to pursue a career at Benchmark International. The M&A industry has enabled her to use her creative flair, while assisting clients across a range of industries, utilising all the skills and experience she has acquired over her career.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

Ms. Robinson is a frequent ‘gym goer’, has just taken up hot yoga, and will frequently paddle board and play tennis in the summer months.  She also plays football with her colleagues at Benchmark and is known for her mean tackle!

She really enjoys all aspects of personal development – whether that’s reading, attending events or talks. She is also keen to always upskill her general business knowledge and listens to podcasts – her current favourite is Steven Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO.

Additionally, Paloma loves to travel and is a huge ‘foodie’!
