Raised in the historic city of Franklin, Tennessee, Shane developed a deep appreciation for architecture and design at a young age. He was inspired by the rich blend of traditional and modern aesthetics around him, and this passion led him to Princeton University, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture. This education not only honed his eye for design but also strengthened his analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, shaping him into a creative yet pragmatic professional.

He then became fascinated by another dynamic branch of study and pursued his MBA from Columbia University in Investment Banking. He aimed to combine his architectural background with a robust understanding of finance to navigate the complex landscape of M&A. He truly appreciates the thrill of shaping and redefining the business landscape, creating synergies, and unlocking value through strategic combinations. His unique blend of creative vision and strategic acumen equips him with a unique perspective to approach M&A transactions, always striving for innovative and profitable solutions. Before joining Benchmark International, Shane was an operating partner in a healthcare services company that delivered comprehensive service solutions. After building and successfully exiting the healthcare company, he joined Benchmark International to help business owners through one of the most important and difficult decisions they will face in their professional lives. Given his background across all multiple industries, he is able to quickly understand what our clients’ businesses do, how they operate, and what drives value.

Shane joined Benchmark International because he saw firsthand the disparity in resources and experience between buyer and seller in small-mid market business transactions. He shares Benchmark’s vision and common goal of ensuring that business owners do not compromise their worth during an exit.

Shane's desire to help business owners motivated him to find a role with a sell-side M&A advisor where he could offer his first-hand insights, experiences and deep understanding of the emotional journey every business owner undergoes during this process.
