Benchmark International has grown year over year in the last 12 years. This position will play a pivotal role in the expansion of our HR & Finance Department to help support our growth. This position reports to the individual serving as the Personnel & Finance Manager of Benchmark International and will assist members of the Human Resource and Finance Team as well as the Executive Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage company’s day-to-day financial records for each entity.
  • Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring they meet accuracy, completeness, and compliance standards.
  • Oversee the month-end closing process, reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports within specified deadlines.
  • Perform Bank Account and Credit Card Reconciliation.
  • Accounts payable and receivables.
  • Enter all accounting transactions into QuickBooks Online.
  • Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Generate client payment requests and receipts.
  • Process client credit card payments.
  • Review expense reports to make sure they are in line with company policy.
  • Assist with cost control across all entities.
  • Manage yearly insurance audit reporting.
  • Prepare individual 1099 forms for tax reporting each year.
  • Scan all receipts into QuickBooks Online.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and automation within the department.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualification/Requirements

  • Discretion and confidentiality are a must.
  • 3-5 years of Full Charge Bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting rules.
  • Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with multi-entity businesses preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize daily workload.
  • Willing to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work in the office 100% of the time as this is not a remote or hybrid position.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.


Supervisory Responsibilities

Education/Training/Experience
Associate degree or higher is preferred.

3-5 years of Full Charge Bookkeeping experience.
2-5 years of QuickBooks Online bookkeeping experience.

Compensation
Annual compensation will range between $55,000 - $60,000 based on experience.

Physical Demands

  • Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature, including sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time with the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to drive in a safe manner.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with the fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials.

Travel Demands
Occasional local travel.

Expected Hours
This role is 100% in-office. Office hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm local time, Monday through Friday, with one hour for lunch and after-hours attendance in the office as needed.
