LONDON PRIVATE EQUITY CONFERENCE

Benchmark International sponsors the Real Deals UK Mid-Market private equity event. The event in London is attended by the most influential private equity professionals from the UK and Europe. The event continues to prove hugely beneficial in ensuring Benchmark International remains fully abreast of private equity trends. With private equity acquirers becoming increasingly active within the UK M&A landscape, armed with large sums of unspent cash and a pressure to invest due to inactivity in recent years, Benchmark International considers it vital to maintain a strong presence in this area in order to ensure high levels of competition surrounding our deals.

ASSOCIATION FOR CORPORATE GROWTH (ACG) INTERGROWTH AND CAPITAL CONNECTIONS

Benchmark International continually participates in the world’s premier M&A event, the ACG Intergrowth Conference. This annual event draws more than 2,000 of the top M&A professionals from across the globe with investors controlling more than $82B in deployable capital. Benchmark International also sponsors numerous ACG Capital Connections throughout the year. These are essentially regional versions of the ACG Intergrowth Conference, attracting a range of investors focused on slightly smaller acquisition targets. Together, these events allow Benchmark International to hold brief meetings with hundreds of the most sought-after buyers on a regular basis, with one-on-one meetings starting before breakfast and continuing non-stop into the evening.

Influence In Europe

ASSOCIATION OF MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS ADVISORS (AM&AA) ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Benchmark International attends the AM&AA annual conference held in Chicago each year. Second only to the ACG Intergrowth Conference and the London PE Conference in its importance on the M&A calendar, this event draws over 300 dealmakers from countries around the world. While the targeted deal size of these investors overlaps that of some of the ACG and London PE conferences the acquirers themselves tend to be smaller in size and thus not as approachable through other means.

INDUSTRY TRADE SHOWS AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONFERENCES

Many of our clients’ industries either hold M&A specific conferences or more general trade shows at which the right decision makers can be approached. Similarly, accountants, lawyers, and wealth managers hold conferences to share information about their clients and obtain valuable leads to take back to those clients. Sharing our opportunities with these industry leaders and financial professionals has proven a rewarding experience for Benchmark International and our clients.

Draw Attention

BENCHMARK HOSTED EVENTS

From time to time, Benchmark International will host its own events to draw the attention of prospective acquirers to our portfolios. These are often run in conjunction with a charitable organisation. A recent example included our sponsorship of the premier hospitality center at the Valspar Open, a long-time stop on the PGA Tour. This event not only allowed us to host hundreds of influential business leaders from around the region over a four-day period but also offered Benchmark International and our portfolios global television exposure to an audience of millions.
