Benchmark International is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of the Canadian business of Leading Edge Group by Leading Edge Associates.
The Canadian business, based in Toronto, provides specialist consulting services focused on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and lean methodologies, serving clients across a range of industries. The transaction related solely to the Canadian operations and did not include the wider Leading Edge Group.
The buyer, Leading Edge Associates, is a Toronto-based business services firm specialising in continuous improvement and operational excellence consulting. The acquisition provides a strong platform for the continued development and growth of the Canadian business under dedicated ownership, while allowing Leading Edge Group to focus on its core operations in other territories.

Benchmark International acted as exclusive sell-side advisor and managed the transaction through to completion. As part of Leading Edge Group’s long-term strategic plan, the decision was taken to divest the Canadian business, with a clear focus on ensuring the retention of staff and consultants and continuity of service for clients. Benchmark engaged with several potential parties during the process; however, the eventual buyer distinguished itself by demonstrating a strong alignment with the seller’s objectives. Benchmark worked closely with both the seller and buyer, alongside their respective legal advisers, to agree an appropriate transaction structure and successfully progress the transaction to completion.
