Benchmark International Successfully Facilitated the Transaction Between Aardvarc Electrical Engineers Limited and Constructel Visabeira, SA

Benchmark International is pleased to announce the transaction between Aardvarc and Constructel Visabeira, parent company of MJ Quinn.

Aardvarc was founded in 2006 by engineers from the high voltage industry to meet the changing needs of the electrical end-user specialising in medium to high voltage. The company offers high-voltage engineering services, catering to clients requiring plant and equipment, installation, testing and energisation, and ongoing maintenance post-energisation.

Constructel Visabeira is a subsidiary of the Grupo Visabeira and a global leader in energy and telecommunications infrastructure services, backed by Goldman Sachs. It operates across 11 counties, employing over 8,500 people and has a turnover of €1,861m.

This investment strengthens Constructel Visabeira’s established presence in the UK where it operates through its subsidiary MJ Quinn, a flagship UK group in the telecom and energy infrastructure sector. It provides end-to-end solutions across telecommunications, critical networks, energy and M&E, leveraging over three decades of industry expertise to support connectivity, energy resilience and infrastructure development in the UK and Ireland.

Under the new ownership structure, Aardvarc will benefit from targeted investment, greater scale, and the operational expertise of MJ Quinn, along with complementary capabilities and market coverage. These enhancements will directly strengthen the service offering available to Aardvarc’s clients, bringing broader technical solutions and increased delivery capacity while preserving Aardvarc’s specialist focus and identity, creating opportunities for accelerated growth.
