Benchmark International Successfully Facilitated the Transaction Between Athena Professional Technical Services Limited and OCU Group Limited

Benchmark International is pleased to announce the transaction between Athena and OCU.
Athena specialises in power systems engineering and the provision of early-stage technical consultancy, supporting projects through feasibility assessment, grid connection strategy, and the design and delivery of grid and private network infrastructure. The business combines strong in-house engineering expertise with its role as an independent connection provider (ICP), delivering contestable grid infrastructure up to 132kV, alongside specialist experience in electrical balance of plant (EBoP) and private network developments.
OCU provides end-to-end infrastructure engineering in the utilities, digital, and energy markets, specialising in safely and efficiently delivering complex client requirements. It has been owned by European private equity firm Triton Partners since 2022.

The acquisition of Athena brings together shared values of technical excellence, safety, and client-centred delivery. It also enhances OCU's position in meeting growing demand for advanced electrical infrastructure capabilities across the UK's renewable and utilities sectors.
