Benchmark International Successfully Facilitated the Transaction Between Transpack Limited and Wine Box Company Ltd

April 10, 2026

Benchmark International is delighted to announce the transaction between Transpack and Wine Box Company (‘WBC’) a trading division of Premier Paper Group Limited.

Established in 1953, Transpack is a respected wholesale packaging supplier specialising in polythene bags, cellophane bags, and eco-friendly packaging solutions.

Operating for over 30 years, WBC is the UK and Ireland’s biggest supplier of gift, wine and transit packaging to the speciality food and drinks market.

Premier Paper is a leading supplier of paper, packaging, and materials to the UK market. It reported consolidated group turnover of £285 million in 2024 and is part of OVOL Japan Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd., a global organisation operating in 21 countries with a turnover exceeding $3 billion.

The acquisition is highly complementary to WBC’s existing operations and further strengthens the group’s range, expertise, and capacity across its growing packaging division. Transpack’s offices and warehouse will remain in Southampton, alongside WBC’s existing offices in Herne Hill and warehouse facilities in Crawley.

Prepare your business for a successful and valuable exit.

Craig Schweitzer, managing director of Transpack, said: “Becoming part of the WBC and Premier Paper Group family marks an exciting new chapter for Transpack. This evolution allows us to offer our customers access to an even wider range of products and services, market leading innovations, and enhanced value - all underpinned by the same first-class customer service they have come to expect.”

Michael Beever, CEO of Premier Paper, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Transpack into the group and are excited to support them in the next phase of their development. Transpack will be a valuable addition to the WBC business, which we acquired in 2022, and represents another important step in our strategy to expand our packaging offering across the group. Premier, WBC, and Transpack share many of the same values, and this acquisition will create opportunities across the business through the sharing of knowledge and expertise.”

Simon Wright, managing director of WBC, added: “The acquisition of Transpack will significantly enhance the product portfolio we offer and further strengthen the group’s ability to deliver solution driven packaging to our customers. I believe the addition of Transpack, and the opportunities it creates, will enable the group to deliver against our existing growth plans within the packaging division.”

Jack Giles, Associate Director at Benchmark International, said: “It was a pleasure to work alongside Craig and the other shareholders to deliver this transaction. Transpack is a highquality business with strong foundations, well positioned for the next phase of growth under the support and infrastructure of WBC and Premier Paper. We look forward to seeing the business continue to develop as part of the group.
